The Little
Bridge.

Sometimes the distance between “I’m okay” and “I’m not” is a bus ride, a bag of groceries, or fifteen minutes with a screwdriver. Try bridging four ordinary gaps.

Four envelopes.
One neighbourhood.

You have a pretend $35 and one free hour. Open each envelope and pick a way to help. There is no “best” person to help, and no real money changes hands. The trick is noticing how small, specific help can travel further than it looks.

Where this came from

In 2004 Jon noticed Modest Needs, a project built around helping people with small, unexpected expenses. He wished for a local version in Victoria. This is a little fictional thought experiment in that same spirit, not a fundraising page or advice about real assistance.
